Anyone been to Rhodes at the end of Oct?

I am thinking about it but wondered if anything would be open such as restaurants and what the weather is like?

Going with older kids and just looking for beach weather and nice food.

It's really well past the summer season and while some shops / restaurants may be open I doubt it will be beach weather.
If you want reliable beach weather at the end of October you need to look further south - Canaries would be warm.

I went late September/early October IIRC. Still quite busy, a few tour ships. Sea was nice and warm. Adrian Quinn Bay near Faliraki was our best find. Bus network pretty good, Lindos great first thing before being filled with cruise ship coach tours and Rhodes Old town was great.

i wouldnt do med at the end of october.

canaries would be a good compromise if you want beach weather.

or if you are prepared for longer haul id look at cape verde then carribbean.

Sea is still warm, and the Greek tavernas and cafes are still open but most of the tourist ones will have shut for the winter - so it’s a lovely time to go! You can still get boat trips, diving, water sports etc but usually in smaller groups and not on big boats.

It can be cold. I would not risk it if you want beach weather. The pools are properly freezing and most places dead.

But I’m nervous about it being too cool to beach, pool I’m not too bothered about as I do prefer the beach
I’ll have a look elsewhere and Cape Verde but I found such a good deal and love Rhodes but glad I asked
