Recurring back injury - asking for medication?

I’ve had a bad back for several years after a long period of exclusively pumping. Last December I twisted weirdly and really hurt it - after three or four days I struggled to the GP and they prescribed a few days worth of a muscle relaxant. This really helped and I haven’t had any major problems since.

Last night while lifting my son out of the cot I really messed up my back and it’s so bad. The kids are at nursery this morning and I’m just lying flat. Luckily DH can pick them up.

Is there any way the GP would consider prescribing it again after talking on the phone? I really don’t think I can get up and get there in this state! I know it’s something they don’t like to prescribe so I’m worried that having had it before they’ll think I’m being dodgy!

Only one way to find out - ring them!
