I need a environmentally friendly pickup

We need to replace our car. We need a big, workhorse pickup. For towing and hauling firewood. It would need to be able to take a 3/4 ton load. We need 4x4 due to where we live.

I want it to be environmentally friendly as possible so I am thinking diesel. Either a Ford F-250 or a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 maybe? Any suggestions?

I think the only vehicles safe enough for towing are never environmentally friendly. We have a Nissan Navarra.

I think there's an Eco version of the GMC Sierra. We have a Tacoma and it's great but you'd probably want to size up to the Tundra. I want a Raptor but not allowed

The big 4x4s here in Canada and the US aren't available in the UK - no Chevy, Dodge, GMC or F-series Fords.
