I'm looking for a particular blue. So far no main stream brands have the shade I'm looking for. A flat, matt, dark blue, know it when I see it thing! Tried Little Greene, Farrow and Ball as well as Dulux etc. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Have a look at Wilko paint colours - they have quite a few blue shades and I find their paint really good.

Valspar at B&Q, they will mix any colour at all and have a huge range of colour options. We chose the perfect shade for our lounge and there was nothing else like it available anywhere else. Slightly more expensive than Dulux but so worth it to get the right shade!!

Thank you, will pop into B&Q later.

Deluxe trade paint. You can get paint mixed to your requirements, and also it applies better than the off the shelf ready mixed.

Valspar have three quality levels, pay for the best as it is washable. I used the cheapest and have to keep repainting over marks
