I'm hoping someone can explain to me what a social services risk assessment is please. To explain, I split up from my ex 3 yrs ago and he moved to a different town. He has been convicted of assault on a minor and is to be sentenced in 4wks. The judge however said it would be reported to social services in the town I live so a risk assessment can be done before he see's my kids. To be clear he has not seen my kids in well over a yr nor do I want him to mainly due to alcoholism, but now he says he wants to see them. Will this risk assessment involve the social services speaking to me or my kids?
