Dreamland Margate

Thinking of taking the kids this week. Anyone been, what’s it like any tips to plan our day? I’m assuming it’s not as busy as the likes of Chessington and Thorpe Park? Any suggestions of where’s best to park? I see there is a car park round the corner but quite expensive. Any tips gratefully received.

Don’t compare it with Chessington or Thorpe Park or you will be very disappointed.

We went at Easter as we were over that way.
It’s nothing more than an upmarket funfair IMO but it was fine, dc enjoyed it. Not a huge amount to do there so didn’t hang about long.
Only spent a couple of hours there.
But make sure you pay for parking if you park in their car park (the one right outside, I don’t know about the one round the corner) - we didn’t as didn’t realise it was a pay and display and ended up with a ticket on our car.
Totally our fault of course, but we had missed any pay and display signs on our way in and just presumed it was a carpark for dreamlands and obliviously wandered in!

Went last year twice . Once a year ago to the day almost and at Halloween.

Its good but as others said its not Thorpe Park or Chessington etc . Enough of a mix of rides for adults and for children . Food is pricey however I must say . You can (or certainly could last year, in August) come and go as long as you have a wristband so we left the park for lunch in town and returned afterwards.

Ok, thanks for the tips so far. If I want to ride will I have to leave my bag like you do at chessington? I’m prepared for it not to be like the big theme parks. Might have to prepare the kids though!!
