I just take it when I need it. It's an as and when needed medication. It's not something that needs to get into your system over time. If you need one now then take one now.

Sounds like you need one now.

Im on 80mg a day it definitely helps. Take it in the morning I find that works best for me . I take it along with sertraline and that combination has helped me no end .

Does it help? I am on Nortyriptyline only 10mg, the doctor put me on it for my IBS, but I also have anxiety which seems to be getting worse, I seem to be OK 90% of the time, then something triggers me, a worry or a thought or change in routine and all hell breaks loose inside my mind and I cant eat, sleep or function normally till I manage to snap out of it which can be a few days

Anxiety is a bastard, it really is. I take propranolol for anxiety and adrenaline and issues, definitely helps x

I take it as PRN up to 3x daily.

It really helps calm the physical symptoms down. I take it as soon as my anxiety is bad and my heart starts racing.

Another that takes it three times a day. It does make a difference. Hope you feel better soon.

Take it now if you feel anxious. I hope you start to feel better soon. Flowers

Vera propranolol helped my physical symptoms so I could eat and sleep properly again. That in turn helped my ruminations thoughts and helped me deal better with triggers. Eventually my body adjusted itself and I didn't need them anymore. I don't know about contraindications with the medication you're already on as I don't know it but beta blockers can be very good for dealing with anxiety. Flowers

I am going to the doctors tomorrow so I might ask about it, when my anxiety is bad, I cant eat, I try and eat to the point where I am actually heaving, its like a switch in my brain and I cant stomach the food, in turn that makes me feel worse, because I hate being thin and make an effort to try and put on weight, all I want to do is smoke when my anxiety is like this, then its a vicious cycle of feeling anxious, coping with it by smoking, which reduces my appetite also, and then feeling like I am letting myself down for loosing weight and smoking. Then I am OK again until something triggers it again, and the cycle starts all over!
