The preparation my oldest is putting into this reminds me of me when I was younger & getting ready to go out (I wasn't so young though).

There's glitter, stick on false nails & stressing over which outfit to wear .

Huh?! Really sad comments on here. Weird!! We went to Pride a couple of weeks ago - me, hubby and 12y old daughter and loved it. So did all my mates and colleagues I bumped onto during the day. Some took a day off work afterwards they enjoyed themselves so much! I don't understand the comments about lesbians being not welcome (?!) or some such, I didn't notice any negativity whatsoever. Enjoy the fun! x

Probably you didn’t notice it because it doesn’t affect you. I’m not sure why you think that entitled you to dismiss the concerns lesbians are raising. Why bother going to pride if you’re going to ignore part of the community it’s supposed to be there for? Personally I’d call that pretty weird.

IlluminatiConfirmed You do understand that you’ve essentially just said ‘I’m not a lesbian, I didn’t see any negativity towards lesbians at the single Pride event I went to, so therefore any concerns by other people are sad and weird’? Do you not see the flaws in this?
