The bastard fruit flies ....

are driving me mad! I've tried everything; all fruit in fridge, bananas in cupboard, no food left out or dirty dishes in sink, my bins are integrated and I change the bags daily .

I googled it and it said they're attracted to damp wet stuff so I even got rid of my sunflowers out of utter desperation. Sad

But the bastards seem to be multiplying by the day.

Please give me some kind of nuclear level chemicals because it's fucking wet outside, and inside the fruit flies and the kids are driving me up the wall. Ta very much Grin

Definitely clean your drains too. Either you need to put drain cleaner down your drains or one cup of baking powder and one cup of vinegar down your drain and then flush with boiling water after 20 mins.

That sounds like a good idea BlackCat I'm going to try that tomorrow.

Have you recently reported anything? Big standard compost is terrible for incubating these things. They hatch and your house is full of them.

Have you got

A) a potato at the back of a cupboard, or
B) a child who has a bag of leftover picnic hidden in their bedroom?

We were teeming with them both times. With B they were laying eggs on walls and such until we found it.
