How are you relaxing tonight?

Both young DC are asleep in bed. I’m sitting on my own in the living, listening to chilled music on the radio & sipping a cider whilst teaching myself to crochet. Blissful Smile (especially as I’m starting to pick the crochet technique up, so not getting frustrated!)

What are you doing to unwind?

Just poured an ice cold Sauvignon and going to run a bath Smile

Justmuddlingalong · 15/08/2019 20:35

Eating. I'm premenstrual, so it's game on.

PasDeGeeGees · 15/08/2019 20:38

Just printed out a whole heap of leaflets for a club I belong to. Now drinking coffee, casually paper-folding and watching a random documentary about hot air balloons.

feelingsicknow · 15/08/2019 20:40

Third beer in the back garden whilst hubby cooks (house renovations, baby nursery settling in session today, living out of blue Ikea bags and no hot water - I'm delighted that baby is now asleep and I'm smoking and drinking beer outside)

Pipandmum · 15/08/2019 20:43

Having a glass of red after finishing chilli for dinner. I’m watching Elementary with my 14 year old. My 16 year old had gone out to see his mates new scooter! So niggling worry that he’ll go for a spin and it’s getting a bit dark...

PurpleDaisies · 15/08/2019 20:43

Masterchef and a cup of tea.

delilabell · 15/08/2019 20:43

We're not! Ds' first sleepover wirh a friend here. They're WILD!

FrappeLatte · 15/08/2019 20:43

These all sound lovely. Especially three beers after a stressful day, @feelingsicknow... it’s so nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors after the last few days of rain.

Wine, blanket and kindle (mumsnet 😂)

Lolimax · 15/08/2019 20:44

Just worked 42 hours in 4 days not in til 1 tomorrow. Just had a bath, going to make myself a mug cake then try to stay awake til DH comes home at 10.

FrappeLatte · 15/08/2019 20:44

Aw @delilabell, how old are they? I’m a long way off that stage.

Sent everyone out with the dog. Just me and the cat doing yoga

TotheletterofthelawTHELETTER · 15/08/2019 20:46

Cup of tea and a book (once I finish mumsnetting)

LifeOfBox · 15/08/2019 20:47

Last night in our holiday cottage, we had a pub lunch and then I cooked the remains of the fridge for dinner. Now watching Mamma Mia. Had one drink and then remembered I can’t drink on the pill I took earlier so no more for me!

Awrite · 15/08/2019 20:50

I'm watching Silence of the Lambs.

It's been years. My, my - it's not very relaxing.

Decormad38 · 15/08/2019 20:53

A small glass of red wine and watched Empire of the Sun.

FrappeLatte · 15/08/2019 20:56

I need to get back into yoga, very relaxing but also invigorating. Also need to pick up my book again! What are you reading, @TotheletterofthelawTHELETTER?

Never seen it @Awrite, but I think it’s a horror (?) so definitely doesn’t sound relaxing... enjoy Grin

troppibambini · 15/08/2019 20:56

@Awrite we watched that the other night with dd who had never seen it, she usually moans about "old" films Grin but she said it was brilliant.

I'm having wine and hula hoops I've spent the last few days decluttering and cleaning my house. Every cupboard has been emptied and sorted and every inch has been scrubbed we have pass on 10 bin bags of stuff and recycled 20 more. It feels so good but I'm knackered now.

Powerplant · 15/08/2019 21:08

Chocolate digestives, coffee and Midsomer Murders.

LouiseEH · 15/08/2019 21:09

Minecraft and YouTube once DS is asleep 😁

HeyMicky · 15/08/2019 21:11

My niece is sleeping over. She was very kind and indulgent to the DCs earlier; now they're in bed we're eating popcorn and watching some tween movie I don't really understand

iklboo · 15/08/2019 21:12

Clean bed, clean PJs, clean me, Jack Daniel's, relaxing music & kindle.

UsernameTaken76 · 15/08/2019 21:18

Steak for dinner and a second glass of red wine. Now reading while watching my kitchen rules. I’m starting to unwind from a very very intense day.

Leftiefterson · 15/08/2019 21:19

We are on the top deck on a boat floating along. It’s rather lovely.

FrappeLatte · 15/08/2019 21:25

Wow some of these sound amazing. I’d love to be floating on a boat right now... assuming the water is calm! And steak for dinner, yummy.

I just heard on the radio that it’s National Relaxation Day... very apt GrinWine
