I can honestly say I haven't had nearly as many sore throats and head colds since quitting.

In fact my 1st sore throat was a year after quitting ( and a couple of days after proudly telling my friend how I am sore throat free since quitting ....Karma !!!)

I used to get loads of colds that turned in to chest/throat/sinus infections that needed antibiotics when I smoked, at least two a year. I gave up 15 years ago and haven’t had an chest infection since - in fact the only antibiotics I’ve had since then have been pregnancy or dental related.

Nope. No change at all from smoking to non. I live in a very unpolluted area, though.

I did when I worked in a call centre. Every year without fail once winter swung round I’d have a chest infection. Lots of people, lots of smokers, air con, infection was rife.
Since I’ve stopped I’ve not had any respiratory issues.

Yes I did. And when I lived at home with my mum who is still a smoker, so I thought it was just a normal amount of colds to get. I seemed to have a permanent cold some winters?

Now I don't even get one every year.
