Amazon Prime

Anyone else gets really annoyed when you try to order and they seem to insist you use Amazon Prime! I don't want it! I thought I had avoided it when ordering but got a note about it - I had to do something or other before the order was going through so I am not doing it now. I have no need at all for Prime, thank you!

It seems harder and harder to avoid. Doesn't seem worth getting a 'cheaper' book if I cannot avoid that.

I have Amazon Prime and was hoping to read here about someone who has it and thinks it’s now crap!

YouJustDoYou · 15/08/2019 17:43

I have it and have had it for years, it's been a bloody lifesaver.

LifeOfBox · 15/08/2019 17:45

I have had it since 2008 and think it’s generally great. I do get a bit fed up when something is next day delivery on prime until you log in and it changes to three day delivery though.

Prime is amazing. Worth every penny

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 15/08/2019 18:01

I love Prime too, it’s been an absolute god-send on occasions!

lanbro · 15/08/2019 18:05

Pretty much everything I buy comes from Amazon, I watch prime tv, use Amazon music and pay for kindle unlimited, basically love it! Prime Now is fantastic too! However, I've definitely noticed that where the majority of items used to be next day there are now more that are 2 day delivery. I think Prime is a lifesaver as I work about 80hrs a week and don't want to spend the little free time I have trawling the shops

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 15/08/2019 18:18

I agree Cauliflour. I can't remember when something promised the next day actually did then arrive the next day. Our parcels
now normally show as 'out for delivery' until about 5 p.m. and then the message changes to 'There's a delay. If you haven't had it in 7 days, get in touch.' Hmm

But on the upside, I used to spend 1,000s with Amazon each year and now it's next to nothing.

Likethebattle · 15/08/2019 18:20

Prime is great. I watch Outlander with it, get films, music, kindle downloads etc plus free delivery is great as sometimes the delivery charge is high.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 15/08/2019 18:23

I completely agree, it's like you have to work to avoid accidentally adding it.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 15/08/2019 18:27

Wait is Amazon music included in Prime? I pay for that to run with Alexa.

BikeRunSki · 15/08/2019 18:30

Prime is worth it for “Life in Pieces” on Prime TV alone. I’m another one who depends on Amazon deliveries ASAP. I haven’t noticed Prime deliveries getting too sloppy. I ordered something recently at 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon and received it at 8am the next day.

BikeRunSki · 15/08/2019 18:32

Music isn’t included in Prime, but the subscription is reduced to £7.99 a month rather than £9.99.

AlexaAmbidextra · 15/08/2019 18:50

I too get pissed off at the promises of next day delivery that never materialise.

Deathraystare · 15/08/2019 18:53

I completely agree, it's like you have to work to avoid accidentally adding it.

Glad I am not the only one then! I don't have internet at home and cannot justify the money really. It seems so aggressive the way it is hard to avoid. . Fine if you like it!

Prime music is included though

Be1atrix · 15/08/2019 19:08

I think for £8 a month Prime is amazing. We do most our shopping through it, use the cloud photo storage (unlimited! amazing!), watch programs, and also use amazon music which is another £8 a month

Oldraver · 15/08/2019 19:47

It used to annoy me and once it got added accidentely by OH, and I cancelled it.

Then realised how much I was paying for postage. I was paying monthly then got a reduction on a years Prime last month.

I keep thinking we are going to be banned as we really cane it
