You can do a benefits calculator online to find out how much payments would be. Your employer can force maternity leave to start if you are off sick in the last 4 weeks of your pregnancy (36 weeks +) for a pregnancy related illness, and as you are currently off for this reason at 35 weeks you should be aware of any entitlement. Universal credit does have a wait before you receive payment.

Are you in social housing? Most providers will have people who can offer help or advice around benefits if you contact them, or you can search online to find where can advise you locally (I think CAB do but not sure).

Hi yes iam nearly 35weeks pregnant so my note runs out on the 31st then I have ten days holidays my 4week deadline is when my holiday starts so I should be ok on that iam housing association but if I put a claim in for help with housing we have to close our child and working tax credit claim and claim universal credit which I really dont wana do and left with nothing and if our baby comes before the 7th of September I wont qualify for maternity allowence either so stressed not sure what to do or where to start
