Hi, we’re going on Friday for the first time. We’re not really sure how to plan the day. If you have been recently which rides did your children most enjoy.

Also are the lockers a decent size? I was hoping to put a largeish picnic in one and a change of clothes for all four of us in another, is that doable? Thanks.

Usually the best plan is to get there early and head to the back of the park, by Atlantis and work your way back to the entrance. You get to do quite a few rides before queues get crazy that way.

Atlantis is good, DS liked Ninjago (me and DD not so much) and the Star Wars display is good. The rest of the rides kind of depend on the ages of your DC and what they like...

I would say though that the last time we went it pissed it down with rain which made for a miserable trip. I don’t think Friday is meant to be all that special, weather wise. So pack ponchos (or buy them) so you can still go on the rides. Wear waterproof shoes because the rain pours down the paths like rivers (it’s all on a hill) and take in the DUPLO shows or 4D cinemas if you need to hide in the dry.

The lockers look to be a decent size from memory.

We have been twice this year as have merlin passes, we try to get there for 9.30 to park and walk over to gates, you can download LEGOLAND app and that gives you the ride queue times, we aimed for ninjago first as that seems to have longest queue then the laser raiders, after that we went on whatever we came across. Not sure on lockers as we never used them, but if taking a picnic then you can eat that while watching the pirate show. Atlantis is a good ride as is the monster haunted house. If i think of anything else will come back on here. Oh you need to pay for parking think its about 7.00 a day.

Yes head for the back first.
Mine like the Viking ride and surprisingly the Fairy Tale Brook. Its a relatively good ride for the length of queue with lots off Lego characters. All dragon rides are fun, They really just like the Lego models and Star Wars bit the best.
Driving School is a ridiculously long queue and nothing much to do with a Lego,They weren’t impressed with the dinosaur train ride either.

Fab thank you. We’ve already prepaid for parking and hoping to get there for about half 9 (will aim for 9.15 to allow for getting lost time). It does look like it’s going to pour down on Friday. At least we won’t be too bothered if we get a bit wet on the water rides!

The lockers need a £2 coin each. And the first locker I used swallowed one and I didn't have a spare coin, so I'd take 3 x £2 coins if you want to use 2 lockers. (Annoyingly customer services were happy to give me the £2 back but only in £1 coins as they didn't have any £2 coins Confused.

They open the bit with buildings built from lego about 9.30 so get there to 'do' that bit before queuing up by the entrance to the rest of the park at 10 when it opens so you will be a long way ahead of people turning up at the entrance at 10 iyswim.

If you are desperate to get on one ride it is worth doing the one shot jump the queue purchase- think it was £8 per person. Better than the queuebot where if the queue is 90 mins you still have to wait 90 mins, just not in the queue.

DS most liked Laser Raiders, followed by the dragon coaster, pirate falls and river splash. He wasn't keen on ninjango (which had the longest queue on the day) as it didn't really work that well. It missed a lot of 'hits' and I think you have to be sitting just right and at just the right height to register properly.

Splash zone great to run off some energy and muck about without a queue, don't know if the weather will be up to it on Friday, but it its a possibility take towels and swim gear or change of clothes.

Food is mostly crap so you are better with a picnic, but again, this is weather dependant.

If you've got the energy it really empties out last 40 mins or so, so you can often get on the ride that has alluded you due to queue size all day.

Thank you for the tips. Hopefully we’ll have a great day.
