Cheap things to do for all the family?

This week has been a hellish week so far for both DP and I. We'd really like to do something at the weekend as a family - two of us plus 7 year old DSD. We don't have much money at the moment so can't do something like all go for a meal. What can we do that we can all enjoy?

What do you do as a family that you all enjoy? I.e. not just something for the kids like soft play etc

Sorry this has been a rubbish week for you.

Kids club at the cinema if it's wet, usually under £3 for a ticket. Go for a walk somewhere where there's a 'painted rocks' group so DC have got something to keep them motivated - find groups on Facebook. Our area has just started something similar with hiding children's books - found our first one today and the children were delighted! Library. Gregg's for cheap coffee and a cake! Travel a bit further afield to a park you haven't visited before and take a picnic.

Picnic at a country park (free entry, just pay for car park).

Have just checked the weather forecast and it's blooming raining all weekend around by us Sad
