It’s just over 2 weeks until my DC go back to school so I’m making myself a list to make sure I haven’t missed anything. Thought I would post it here and others can use it to do the same and add anything that I haven’t thought of. Not everything will apply to everyone.
~check school website for start date (seems silly but I’ve known people who didn’t know the start day until it was there!)
~Try on uniforms/PE gear/swimming gear and shoes for fit.
~Replace anything that doesn’t fit
~Label all uniform items, coats etc
~Label school bag, lunch box & water bottle
~check all sports equipment, football boots, gum shields, hockey sticks etc for condition and fit
~check supply of pens, pencils, rubbers, rulers, sharpeners, colouring pencils, lined paper, folders etc
~apply for FSM/ uniform grant
~check hair for head lice and treat if necessary (remember follow up treatment)
~check for verrucas and treat if necessary
~download school calendar to your phone calendar
~confirm any after-school childcare arrangements
~check for any days you will need to arrange full day childcare or annual leave
Anything else? I’m already certain I’m forgetting something
