It looks like the weather won't be great, so lots of beach time probably won't be ideal.

I've never been, we have a car. Any suggestions?

The museum is interesting and find out if there's swimming baths, I'm sure there is. Find out if there's soft play somewhere. Wrap up and go rock pooling in the rain.

Pannett Park has a great playground if weather ok.

Scarborough isn't far and there's lots to do there, the sea life centre is mainly indoors, North Bay railway, Playdale Farm, the Olympia arcade has a soft play centre.
