Does anyone work an Aldi and know when they reduce things?

I've got my eye on a tent, loads left and reduced from 90 to 80 last week and still sitting there. I'm not sure about the quality and lack of reviews but want it for 40-50.

I keep going back every other day and it's still sat there at the same price. Any body have a clue if it will be reduced again?

Ooh me too! If they reduced that would be fab!

Well there's 5 of them left in my store and the weather is crap for the next week.

Surely they have to reduce?

Got an email today that some 4 person tents are going cheap, try the website.

Hope you got a tent OP!

While we're on the subject though...does anyone happen to know what time Aldi reduce their food?! Very rarely see food reduced like at other supermarkets and am on a budget so would be helpful to know!

Starlight456 · 15/08/2019 23:05

I go to Aldi first thing in the morning often loads of 50% off

topoftheworld1 · 15/08/2019 23:22

Thanks starlight. That's the opposite of most other supermarkets then, the others seem to reduce late in the day. Will try going early.

Im ex Aldi it varies store to store unfortunately as it depends on how many staff they have on to cover other jobs whilst they do the date checks and reductions. We used to do ours around 8pm ish

flutterbean · 16/08/2019 04:16

In my store date checks are the last thing to be done before closing though it will depend on how many managers are on shift to do it. Usually around half 9/10ish, so best bet is to head there when they open.
Specials are usually reduced after they've been out for 6 weeks or so, but the reductions come from head office it's not up to us in store.
