I'd like to hear your thoughts. Do you miss the grass or are you really happy without it? Do you have decking, paving, a mix? Any photos or pros & cons about maintenance would be appreciated. 💐

I really really really want to get rid of my lawn, so I'm following....

No lawn here. Small garden had lawn but then kept getting trashed by paddling pool, guineas etc. Now replaced the lawn area with compacted gravel called hoggin. It's fab. Would be much less good with small kids though. Have compensated for lack of green lawn with lots of planting. Friend has expensive fake lawn which looks amazing.

crisps I've been looking for ideas and have heard good things about composite decking. I was never a fan of decking, I always thought lawns were best but mine is a mud bath.

bana thanks - I hadn't heard of hoggin and will look into it. Does it need much maintenance?

I too have an expensive fake lawn. I don’t give a shiny shit that people will now berate me for my lack of concern for the planet. My garden looks fab and I never have to use a lawnmower again.
