What do you use mobile data on?

Inspired by a thread today.....

I dont have mobile data here in the uk. Previous country I lived in, I had the lowest package, and only used a tiny fraction of it on the 1 day a week I collected half a dozen kids from school to keep track of any changes in schedules.

Ive now moved back to the uk, data packages are coming down in price. Why do I need mobile data? How is it going to improve my life?

  • Check when buses/trains are going to turn up
  • Send photos of interesting things
  • Pokemon Go
  • Make video calls to other people
  • Message people with apps such as WhatsApp or Telegram
  • Compare prices when you have seen something you like
  • Check the map if you aren't sure where to go
  • Find out more about an item that you've seen (like reviews or if it does what you need it to do)
  • Download a video if you need to distract a child

See, the map and pokemon go are the only things on there that I can picture me doing out and about.
But if I'm going somewhere new, I download the map before I go, have satnav in the car, and know the local area well enough.
Not sure I need mobile data! Thank you.

Really only for the map when I'm not in the car.
I've gone back onto pay as you go after years of contracts, and I'm saving a huge amount. The tiny amount of data I use costs next to nothing. WiFi is so available that I tend to use WhatsApp instead of texts or phone calls like I used to.
