First day of new shop job and my legs kill so does my back any tips of what to do when the feeling of wanting to sit down kicks in. We get two ten min breaks and an hour at lunch but my legs where killing from all the standing up will I get used to it. What makes it worse is I get achy legs and back due to my condition but never this bad. There’s also a chair in the shop for customers that I keep looking at.

Sorry it's so hard :( I wonder if you need orthotics? I struggle with pain if I stand too long because I have poor support from the arches of my feet.

Wear decent supportive shoes. In the evening, lie with your bum near a wall and legs propped up the wall for 10 mins.

It just takes a bit of getting used to if you're not used to being on your feet a lot.

It took me about 3 weeks to get used to being on my feet so much. My shifts were only 4 hours though with no break.

Agree with others orthortic insoles / really comfy shoes (if you get a choice), old lady brands with cushioned soles. Or like sketchers with memory foam soles are v comfy.

Being on your feet all day is just a basic sod though tbh

Xx hope you find something, it should get better
