And feeling quite crappy about it?
A mixture of kids not listening, doing as they are asked, and being over excited, as we've had a few days out recently, brought me to my last nerve today.
Both ds refusing to pick up the lego they'd spilled, resulted in me locking myself in the bathroom to take 5 for myself. I feel bad for yelling, but I did come out to the lego all picked up.
Anyone else? 3 more weeks to go....

And yes, I realise it should be lose!

I did get quite tetchy with ds2 today.
He's 5. Wouldn't tidy up the Lego he'd brought downstairs and scattered everywhere. Lots of moaning and complaining, followed by "Why do I have to do everything?" from him.
Then he said he was tired.
I may have got a bit cross at this point. No TV, no tablet until all the Lego is put away.
He then carried it upstairs, one piece at a time which tipped me over the edge.

Lego is great, but it does take them ages to clean it up!

I’ve just put our box of Lego away as ds keeps refusing to tidy it away 😡. I’m trying to get ready for our holiday and every time I turn my back, it’s everywhere again 😩.
My twins are still up and winding each other up so I may be about to lose my shit very soon!

Yep dd is driving me to the edge of my ability to cope. Her behaviour has been appalling lately. You are definitely not alone.

It's driving me mad...he is definitely bored as he spends a lot of time winding his sister up. Just so unmotivated.

I can't wait till September to be honest!

Oh and I took them to the chicken shop for dinner because I am so fed up of cooking and cleaning the kitchen

I've been out with DS(15) today and he's been charming - he has just returned from a 4 week expedition in a remote country so is rather chuffed with the novelty and comfort of home life

DH on the other hand has a cold . We know he's got a cold because he's mentioned it occasionally. This evening has been punctuated with a series of sniffs, weak coughs and deep plaintive sighs. It finally became too much and I took the dog to the beach in order to prevent me stabbing him with a teaspoon I've just got back to find him in bed sniffing.

Yep! Holiday boredom has definitely set in now. Probably the hardest year so far, DS1 is out with friends all the time, leaving DS2 with just me for company. He's of the age where a lot of activities are boring , yet most of his friends aren't playing out yet

So it's all pretty dull and he's losing the will to live - as am I!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Today ended with me shrieking like an unhinged fishwife the moment DH stepped in from work. Something along the lines of “take them awaaaaaaay”. I’m pleased to report I have since calmed down and made my apologies to the relevant parties. Tomorrow’s a new day, right?

Takeaway here and the ds's in bed early. Fingers crossed a better day tomorrow!

Me. Schools go back here tomorrow - thank god and all that is holy - from light this morning everything has been a battle. My DD has argued with every single thing I’ve said any my DS just completely ignored anything he didn’t want to hear. At one point they were fighting about the gender of a pet dog that doesn’t exist.., at which point I did loose my shit.

Time out for all of us was much needed and I both cried and napped when DH returned from work.

I had that day yesterday. I’ve been up since 5.30 and already had a cry. They’re being a nightmare again. Whole day ahead of it.

Try all that when you're 66. I'm grandson sitting, i'm too old for all this hassle and I'm sure his mum and aunty were never this much trouble when they were 6. Behaves perfectly when out but is a nightmare at home

I gave my three an absolute bollocking earlier as they had started having a go at each other over a bloody game. It shut them up immediately. It usually only takes one instance of me losing my shit and they're great afterwards.
