Divorced. Bought house from Ex. Since then he has earned very well. Now asking for more money out of the house as has increased in value by £80k. No Clean Break Order. I am on very low income. No intention of selling so increase in value means nothing to me. Any advice?

Surely if you bought him out already he has relinquished his interest in the house and hasn't contributed to the mortgage since that point? " can't see how he'd be able to claim but agree you need professional advice.

I think to claim he needs to prove he has genuinely suffered a financial loss (like the lotto winner a few years back)

You could threaten to counter claim for spousal support I mean you wouldn't get it but does he know this.

Is he on the deeds of the house or is it just in your name?
