Too old for soft play party?

Just thinking ahead a bit. This year my DDs will be 8 and 6 and I'm thinking of doing them a joint part (birthdays a few weeks apart). Is 8 too old for a soft play party? I'm thinking it might be the last year we can get away with it. I know older DD would enjoy it but I'm second guessing a bit as a lot of the parties she's been invited to recently have been more like bowling/swimming/disco/lazer tag etc and no soft play and I don't want the other kids saying it's babyish etc.

I'm sure when I was a kid in the 90s it was parties at home/soft play till about 10ish then it went on to bowling etc type parties. Maybe I'm remembering wrong!

Depends on the soft play, some of the bigger ones seem more aged for older kids and others for toddlers.

Does she still enjoy it? I think at that age we did laser tag at a play centre.
My kids would not be happy having a joint party however!

Depends on the facilities but 8 is probably nearing the end

My eldest is 8 and hasn't been to a soft play party since he was in year one so I'd say your oldest is to old for a soft play party

The soft play I have in mind is a huge one with but drop slides. My kids are more than happy to have a joint party ;)

One of our local soft play centres has nerf birthday parties. So some obviously cater to the older kids.

My eldest is 6 and I do think he's getting to the stage he gets a bit bored with soft play.

Depends. If you’re hiring in ‘softplay’ equipment to a venue it won’t be suitable for either of them (most companies cater up to 5 and even that’s pushing it). If you are going to a softplay then it might be ok.
