Hand hold - mouse

Hi I need a hand hold please, I love alone in a studio flat, it's two rooms but no doors so I do have separate bedroom space and kitchen/living area
Anyway a couple of weeks ago I thought I saw something move one night but if had a very long day and was tired so wasn't sure but it have me a restless night
Once I'd slept better I decided it was due to my hall light flickering and swapped the bulb
Friday night while in bed I heard a noise so investigated, couldn't see anything again but could here it with Windows open and closed so not my blinds moving in a breeze, left light on but barely slept, each occasion of these things happening have left me tired and anxious.
I've been checking daily for mouse droppings in the floor and on my counters- nothing
Well I've stayed at my mum's Saturday and Sunday so I thought I'd leave traps out in the area I heard noise, came home yesterday nothing.
Spoke to a friend has had nice and was told they like sweet stuff and try chocolate
So I did...left a lamp on as was anxious, barely slept again as my mind was going overtime
Just been the loo, thought I'd check my traps not really expecting anything, trap 1 nothing, trap 2 a bloody mouse is happily enjoying his snickers, I jumped and did a small squeal so it fan
No way in bed, big light on and don't know what to do, not sure I'll sleep and got a lot on at work tomorrow
I rent through an agency so will call them tomorrow
Need a handhold for the rest of the night

Sleep. Call the agency tomorrow, they'll probably get someone in to deal with it. It's a mouse not a rat so unlikely that it will climb into your bed. Also, it's probably run off elsewhere for the night.

Thanks brot, I needed someone to be sensible with me, will leave the lamp on but try and sleep

My flat is clean and tidy so why me I don't know, I know the flat upstairs had them last year so they are probably in the building

I would get a cat ... no mice in our house and we live in the countyside

Brot64 · 13/08/2019 04:26

They are probably in the building. So the agency would need to address the whole building rather than your flat. Definitely sleep. You have a long day tomorrow and as annoying and frustrating as it is, there's nothing you can do about a mouse at this time. I would leave the traps out all day tomorrow though and until the agency deals with the situation.

Seriously get some traps and peanut butter ... this works every time.

I love these vids :)

I love in a city centre miley, probably mice everywhere, I'm from the countryside and never had them in the house. no pets allowed in tenancy

Thanks brot, voice of reason, very much appreciated. ☺

Officially craving snickers now. 😂😂.

I have 3/4 of one in my fridge! I couldn't finish off two chocolate bars when I set the traps 😂
