Any suggestions? He has had nurofen and calpol. No evidence of any issues. Is placated by cuddling but not fully settled and when put back in his cot screams again.

Help Sad

If they don't have any other symptoms and are only happy when cuddled, it sounds like your baby wants cuddles! Sometimes they just do. Make yourself comfy if you're in for a long night!

Is there someone with you who can bring you drinks/snacks and make sure you don't fall asleep with the baby in an unsafe place??

Problem is he is 24lb and 11 months old - I cant physically hold him and he keeps trying to get comfortable and cant.
He didnt want his dinner which is highly unusual so I think he may now be hungry. He has been night weaned for at least 3 months but I've given him a feed. I've changed his baby gro in case that one was too.hot and popped him back down. Fingers crossed he will settle Sad

Might he go to sleep lying next to you in your bed, then when he’s been properly asleep for 20 mins or so you could put him back in his cot?

visitorthedog · 12/08/2019 23:43

It might be worth getting his ears checked tomorrow if it’s when you put him down, mine were like this when they had ear infections.

arewethereyetmum78 · 12/08/2019 23:44

Is he pulling at his ears? My dd used to be prone to ear infections and first sign would always be screaming when I tried to lie her in her cot. She would never have any obvious symptoms such as raised temp etc

NeverGotMyPuppy · 12/08/2019 23:45

@SnugStars thanks. He has never been good at being transferred, we do slept for months because even if I got him asleep and tried to slide him into his crib he would wake. I'm terrified of cosleeping again because I cant go back to the wake ups every 2 hours. It nearly broke me.

Ears are a good shout thank you, I will get to the docs 2morrow. They are awfully painful.

The git did laugh at me as I was putting him back to bed Hmm
