Teenage mini break

Sunshine1239 · 12/08/2019 20:19

So very last minute but open to suggestions for a couple of nights break for family of four, ideally 2-3 hours from Liverpool

2 girls aged 14&12
Dog
Accommodation ok as long as not a tent - flaming fine but ideally 5 miles to a city or a town

Previous breaks have inc Harry Potter studios and Alton towers so looking for something similar?

Any ideas? Not into haven or pontins etc and whilst I love the lakes, it typically always rains 😂

With regard dog, we would get someone to mind the dog so open to suggestions that don’t allow her too

Why not get an apartment in a Birmingham. My DSis did it recently with her two and they went to Drayton Manor, Cadbury World, InflataNation, Spot on Wake water park and saw a touring West End show at the theatre.

Yorkshire . You can stay close to York which has lots to see and if you are prepared to drive out further you can visit Whitby , Dalby Forest and Flamingoland theme park. They do have caravans at Flamingoland.

What about Wales? Snowdonia national park. I don't know anywhere specific but if you take dog and like walking I'm sure there's loads of things that would appeal.

Buxton is nice, the palace hotel allows dogs. Go walking, look on group on for cheap spa treatments for your girls, there's a pool. There's a couple of lovely dog friendly pub/restaurants

We went to Llangollen, rented a cottage. Did white water rafting and huge zip wires. Had an awesome time. DDs are 13 and 15.
