Hi
I tend to say men just because thats what ive noticed.
If a family gathering ie christening or kids birthday party or even a wedding ive notice men doing the following. If the match is on they either leave early to watch it or insist on finding a pub to watch it in.
I find it rude. Its a football match!

How does this affect you, personally?

People follow sport. They like real time results.

cushioncovers · 12/08/2019 19:18

Yep lots of men do this. But not all men.

Fuckingawful · 12/08/2019 19:21

I just think its rude when youve been invited somewhere and catered for to leave after half an hour to go watch footie

It is rude, I like football but would never do this. You can record it and watch it later, or check results on a phone. Some men are entitled and are allowed to get away with it.

Yes. NAMALT blah blah blah.

It is virtually always men who can’t survive without watching the match every week. Poor ickle things.

Luckily I married a guy who doesn’t care about football.

I couldn’t deal with the wasting time on the sofa/ in the pub drinking beer scenario whilst shouting pathetically at the tv. I grew up with all that crap and weekends are too short!

I have never seen mine watch football In 20 years. Formula one on the other hand..

absofuckinglutley · 12/08/2019 19:27

Yep, there are women like it too!

amylou8 · 12/08/2019 19:30

I used to be married to one of these. Life revolved around football. Every Saturday afternoon was spent shouting at the TV. He was so involved in it all and I just didn't get it. How I miss him 😂😂

I could control myself about football .... just. But not cricket or rugby Blush
