Divan Trim help

Hi I've just moved into a rented place with a hideous old bed frame. I'm looking to cover this up but the problem is that I use the bed storage drawers and I need frequent access to these. Would a divan trim prevent drawers opening?

So long as the valance isnt tight fitting around the bottom (pleated, and box corners work) you can just flick the fabric out of the way. Needs to be on a divan base tho. Have you got a divan or a frame?
