M5 jct38 Gloucester

Hi.we have just gone past jct12 on m5. On our right there is a big modern looking factory type building. Theres no identification on it.
We are just curious to what it is.
Does anyone know?

It's a waste incinerator. Hugely controversial, vile blot on the landscape. Not fully operational yet. Guardian article here

I wondered what it was too when we passed it yesterday.

Less of a blot on the landscape than the endless acres of ticky-tacky new build housing that line the rest of the M5.

Yes, it's the incinerator and it's not obvious what it is from it's appearance (hard to describe if you haven't seen it).
