If you could only visit one garden, which one would you choose?

Depends on the time of year and the weather to an extent. Both are utterly beautiful in their prime- Sissinghurst is bigger and there is more indoor stuff to see, the tower to climb etc.

Is it a hypothetical question OP? If not do both if possible Grin , they're only about 25 mins drive apart. You wouldn't regret it!

I did both in the same day. If you're into the Bloomsbury group, do Sissinghurst; if you're really into plants, do Great Dixter. But they're both really great gardens.

Dixter. I went to Sissinghurst and the crowds were awful. It's not designed for the thousands of people that visit. A gardener told me they all start at 5:30am in summer to get as much done as possible before the hordes descend.

Thanks. I'm in Canterbury (hols) but the week's weather doesn't look great; however we do have NT cards, so maybe both??
