Looking to purchase some dailies direct online but have no idea where to start. Recommendations please!

I use feel good contacts
Next day delivery and you get free haribo 😂😂

Saucery · 11/08/2019 16:06

Lenstore. Used them for a few years now. Always arrive on time, found suitable lenses (replacing Boots dailies) quickly and easy to update prescription when necessary. They do vouchers for eye tests too, but I’ve never used those, still go to Boots every couple of years as it’s easier where I live.

I use Vision Direct - interestingly they also send free Haribo's - perhaps they are the same company masquerading under different names! Goes off to check price difference......

WhiteWineAndMagnums · 11/08/2019 16:16

Thanks all. What's not to love about Haribo? Brilliant!

So next question is what brand is best for high water content dailies?

Can I ask an idiotic question?

I get my lenses through my optician. Every year I get a 'lens check' to check the prescription, fit etc. My lenses are not the same as my eye prescription (I have one lens for longer sight and one for shorter sight).

How does this work with on-line purchase?

JingsMahBucket · 11/08/2019 17:43

@venusandmars when you’re ordering there are text fields for the prescriptions for each eye. You can order boxes of different prescriptions if necessary.

@WhiteWineAndMagnums I’ve also used Feel Good Contacts in the U.K. and they’re good. In the US I used Vision Direct and they were good as well. Not sure about their U.K. service.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 11/08/2019 17:49

Vision Direct are great , next day delivery and haribo! Smile

WhiteWineAndMagnums · 11/08/2019 19:03

Thank you all! I'll do some exploring tonight. Haribo is a must .

@venusandmars - I also get my current monthlies through my optician and have an annual contact lense check. I got my contact lense prescription from them to order the dailies (they wanted to go through them and said they "would pretend they hadn't heard" when I said I wanted it to order my dailies online Wink

I use Acuvue Oasis, and switch between daylies and monthlies (which are cheaper) - work for me :-) Also I am v.v. short sighted, and they do a good range of strengths.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 12/08/2019 11:57

I’ve used Feel Good contacts too.

underneaththeash · 12/08/2019 12:24

I wouldn’t go swapping between brands/lenses with having a fitting first.
Brands vary hugely in fit - thickness, materials, edge clearance so an 8.6/14.2 lens of one brand will not fit the same as another.

jcurve · 12/08/2019 14:05

Try Alensa - I wear expensive dailies (Acuvue Oasys) and they always do a great price in boxes of 90. They’re currently £30 cheaper than Vision Direct (£128 vs. £98).

Lenstore.co.uk

Cheap enough, easy to use website and their delivery is outstandingly, ridiculously quick.

Last time I ordered mine I submitted the order about 9.40pm...they turned up in the mail at 11am the next day! I still don’t even know how😂

CoolWivesClub2019 · 12/08/2019 14:16

Oh yes I forgot...you get free eye tests with lenstore too . Pp reminded me.
