Saging the house

Things are a bit negative at the moment. Someone gave me some sage and I've held off using it.

Just read on another thread that it "opens doors"

I'm not at all woo, hence me using the sage (was a gift from someone who is a bit of a believer!)

Hence me not yet using the sage!!

Well, it might smell nice? Maybe provoke a comment along the lines of "why are there bundles of sage around?" that you could hang a conversation off?

That's about all, unless anyone else is a bit into woo and knows about 'saging'. Opens doors, twaddle. That's doorhandles. Doorhandles go really badly with pumpkin and pasta though, so sage is still good.

Get some onions, make some stuffing?

I thought sage prevented evil spirits getting into your home. So don’t worry about burning it, you won’t open a portal to an evil universe or anything.

Are you supposed to set fire to the sage or what? Does it smoulder or go up in flames?
