Where could I buy a velvet sofa from with delivery for the 30th of this month?

All the ones I love have lead times of 8-11 weeks and I need it by the end of August. I've tried John Lewis, Loaf and sofa.com.

Looking for a 3 seater in velvet. Up to 2k at a push. Didn't like any in Argos.

Any companies I need to look at? Thanks

Have you looked at Ikea? www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/grevie-3-seat-sofa-velvet-blue-20417516/ Also in grey. Nice and comfy in real life.

Ikea? I had a sofa from there that was great quality, lasted well

I just bought the Rupert sofa from Dunelm. Amazing customer service and good reviews. I can tell you how good it is on Monday when it arrives. But they have no quibble returns for sofas

impossible

Great minds!

Ooh ikea! Never ever thought of those. I was resigned to a 2k spend. Like both of those - especially the £850 one

Have you looked at the clear out page on Loaf? They are usually ready for immediate delivery and are a few velvet ones when I looked a couple days ago

MarinaMarinara · 10/08/2019 21:58

Made.com. They have loads, comfortably in budget, delivery really soon.

This is a velvet 3 seater, £999, choice of three colours, dispatch within 7 working days. www.made.com/julianne-3-seater-sofa-blush-pink-cotton-velvet#size=3_seat/colour_name=blush_pink_cotton_velvet/leg_finish=metal_brass_finish

This is what I would go for if I was in the market for a new sofa - www.made.com/branagh-3-seater-chesterfield-sofa-electric-blue-velvet

Rumours0fAHurricane · 10/08/2019 21:59

@MyReadingChallenge yes and I dislike the colours available unfortunately. So irritating

Like the Rupert too..

Love the Branagh. Don't like the julienne as too boxy. I want something comfy and a bit squashy

Thanks so much for these suggestions

Mine is from Habitat.

ImpossibleNovelty · 10/08/2019 22:01

mnahmnah snap! The £850 one there really did feel nice. I tried it in the store just today.

LesLavandes · 10/08/2019 22:02

Try Habitat

ThisIsMyBuick · 10/08/2019 22:05

Dunelm.

MrsBertBibby · 10/08/2019 22:05

My friend got a lovely one in TXMAXX. But that's pretty unreliable!

MarinaMarinara · 10/08/2019 22:15

The Branagh is definitely my favourite of the sofas that can be delivered in time!

I don’t know about lead time (suspect it would be too long) but I also really like this - m.dfs.co.uk/windsor/wds23awdv

midsomermurderess · 10/08/2019 22:17

I wouldn't recommend Loaf. They look great, they photograph well but they are bloody uncomfortable.

Twooter · 10/08/2019 22:20

Next?

Dontbestupidagain · 10/08/2019 22:24

Here:
www.johnpyeauctions.co.uk/lot_details.asp?l=1&lotid=5130016&pageno=1

Got our Loaf sofa from there for £350 all in.

olderthanilookapparently · 10/08/2019 22:26

I am sitting on our new Made.com velvet sofa. We ordered it 2 weeks ago yesterday.

Tis lovely

MoodLighting · 10/08/2019 22:27

Where are you? Sales of sofa returns would be a good bet, plus cheap too! Check Loftys if anywhere near East London.

Lonelykettleshed · 10/08/2019 22:29

Depending on where you are in the country, Trade Secrets May be worth a look (in Banbury) as they sell cancelled orders etc from major retailers. It's pot luck as to what they have but it's immediately available.

Longdistance · 10/08/2019 22:36

What’s M&S like for furniture? Thought they were great, not sure on delivery? Worth a look?

Rumours0fAHurricane · 10/08/2019 22:48

Some great ideas here. Thanks

If you have Facebook look for gem & ginger sofa outlet and also Lola rose interiors, they both sell sofas that are returns/seconds etc from all the usual high street places.

Chocarocker · 10/08/2019 23:39

I got my sofa that I needed quickly from Next. I think you can filter them by delivery time.
