What’s this book please?

Help! On the way to the airport and realised I’ve forgotten my kindle so need to buy some books.

One book I downloaded was set in Germany I think during the second world war. It’s a modern, famous novel, but I’m stumped.

Not much to go on, but has anyone any ideas?

Don't read Alone in Berlin on holidays. It's great but really grim.
