Coming back from holiday blues!

Bah. Back to the stress, routine, exam year for DS, work...

I know the grass is always greener etc but I’ve never managed to end a holiday feeling that I’m ready to go home. I also managed to spend some time with family that I know I probably won’t be able to see again 😢

What’s the secret?

There is no secret. You just store up the memories so they can hug you when you most need it Flowers

Oh I know it's horrible isn't it! We've only been back a week and I'm still depressed by the weather and nobody bringing me frozen margaritas

It’s tough isn’t it?

DH is off camping with DS while I'm stuck to the sofa with whiplash from an rta. A mild shunt, mild neck injuries, but not up for sleeping on an airbed, helping put up a tent, cycling and chucking DS into the pool Sad

We hope we can get away at the end of the month somewhere, just for a week.

Sorry to Elevenerife your thread Wine

I'm a bit nuts when it comes to journals/Hoffman albums/scrapbooks, so when I'm feeling shit I just take one off the bookshelf and relive happier times.

I try and arrange something nice a day or two after I'm back from holiday so I've got something to look forward to. Like a massage, day out, seeing friends. Whatever takes your fancy really! Having something else to look forward to definitely takes a little bit of the post holiday blues away for me.

I like to go through all my holiday photos and make a start on a photobook while it's all still fresh in my mind.

Feels like keeping the holiday alive for a bit longer at least.

Then start thinking about the next one!
