Really boring! Thin shoelaces that are easy to tie and stay tied?

STB adult DS is dyspraxic and has hypermobil joints so tying his laces is a bit of a chore. He needs new boots and found a lovely pair that fit well but they have those round/waxed type laces as the eyelets are quite small. He can't tie them tight enough and they don't stay tied. I think he needs flat laces but they need to be really thin.

Anyone come across any?

I stupidly bought DD (4) lace up school shoes not registering the fact that she couldn't actually tie them 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I got some non tie laces off Amazon. The ones we got are quite thick but there's loads of different options on there, def worth a look

He's 18 tomorrow so not wanting to go down that route for his fancy timberlands Grin

He was about 14 before he could reliably tie his laces so it was a long haul.

Good luck with school.

When you tie the first knot, loop it over twice. This will anchor it much better

Thanks oldraver, he already does that, I think it's probably just becasue they are new and once the wax maybe wears off I think they will be a bit better. Just looking to see if there is anything that is flat and thin but I've looked at about 300 pairs of black bloody shoelaces and now losing the will to live.

Don;t think so BringOnTheScience. I think they'd look a bit mad on what he needs them for.

It's these boots:
