Detective Pikachu - suitable for 4yo?

Hi

This is the film that's on for the Odeon Kids tomorrow and I'm just wondering if anyone has seen it/can advise whether it's suitable for a 4yo? There are mixed reviews online.

For context, DD likes watching Pokemon and loves things like how to train your dragon.

We've seen it, the youngest is 7. It is good but I'm not sure its interesting enough for a 4 year old. It's not like a cartoon, it's quite detailed.

I took my 4 yo yesterday. I thought it was great. There were a few bits that he found a bit scary but not massively.

I took my 3 and 5yo, they loved it, there were a few loud bits that could have been scary (like the underground Pokémon battles) but my 2 weren’t phased. Also the film is a bag of shite so you’ll probably be bored as I was 😂

It isn't a cartoon. It is a live action film. I would say that it is more suited to 8 years and over.
