As the title says I need cheering up. Was at the dentist earlier. He used a rake of drills. The numbing agent has worn off and dear god I am IN PAIN HmmSad

Oh dear, a bit late now, hope you're sleeping it off! Have you got painkillers for tomorrow?

PotterHead1985 · 09/08/2019 10:48

Hey there. Yea I have now. And anti-inflammatory meds. I ended up going to Caredoc (our out of hours doctor service) and it turns out when numbing me up the dentist hit another nerve.

When he was numbing me I felt an electric shock type pain in my tongue. He said that was normal, but I have never had it before. The doc said it WASNT normal and he hit a nerve. I was so sore, swollen and couldn't move my mouth, talk or swallow properly. Not nice.

Wow! Glad someone told you the right thing. Maybe time to change dentist... Hope the pain eases off soon.

It has eased a bit thank goodness since I'm on the painkillers and anti-inflammatories.

Yea I'm thinking a new dentist myself.
