How are you today?

A nice little thread to check in, I'm recovering from a UTI (day 2 of antibiotics) and they've been making me so nauseas and have awful headaches!

Other than that I've had a productive day, took the dog to the beach and met a lovely mum and her son who has autism, he played with my dog for ages and it was so sweet!

Then I did the food shop and cleaned.

The dog has just peed in the house (thanks to drinking loads of water after the beach😫😂) so he'll need bathing later and I also need to clean the hamster out.

How are you? How's your day been?SmileThanks

Thanks for asking, plantwhisperer. Smile
It's my day off and have done lots outside - grass cutting, weeding, car wash. Cleaned bathroom, did some washing, even did a little run on the crosstrainer. After all that was a hot mess, so had a shower, nice lunch (Aldi moroccan hummus), and a nap. Bliss.
Brought these to share Chocolate Cake Brew

plantwhisperer · 08/08/2019 17:45

@Bluetrews25 oooh thanks for the snacks! I'll add some WineSmile

Sounds like a lovely day- I miss having a garden (we live in a flat now) sounds like you really took care of yourself today!

Naps can be risky- I took one yesterday at 2pm for a few hours and didn't sleep well last night.Sad

Thank you - this could turn into a party.
It was only a short nap - don't sleep that well at night generally.
Sometimes I fantasise about living in a flat and not having to do the garden...... Grin

MozzchopsThirty · 08/08/2019 18:30

Thank you for this thread

My day started rubbish I'd had a row with exh late last night, couldn't sleep, took sleeping tablet, then felt shit for work. And to top it all my lovely boyfriend is on holiday

But my day went ok, my work colleagues were fab and I've been to the gym
Now relaxing in the bath Smile

OP I hope you recover soon, UTIs are bloody hideous, get them all the time!!

Croquembou · 08/08/2019 18:41

Absolute rubbish! I've got morning sickness that peaks 1am - 4am then again 5pm-10pm but never really goes away my husband works away all week so I'm bored of my own company, the house is a tip AND!!!! I found my first sodding grey hair.

But, I decided to stop moping and got my hair washed and took the dog out for a walk which felt like a massive achievement so there's hope for the day yet!

dudsville · 08/08/2019 18:43

It's been ok, thanks! Work was easy. Have some family things rumbling on but at the moment I'm home alone in thre garden in shorts with a glass of wine and am feeling chilled!

plantwhisperer · 08/08/2019 19:00

@MozzchopsThirty oh no! I'm so sorry, sounds like a nightmare. Hope your BF is home soon for some supportThanks

Bath sounds fab, definitely treat yourself.

Thank you, UTI's are a bloody nightmare aren't they! On a 7 days course of AB's so only 5 more days of feeling shit to go😂😫

@Croquembou Thanks- for you! What an awful time, hopefully the sickness is only temporary and eases up soon. Is this your first baby? Congratulations!

@Bluetrews25 Let's switch? I fantasise about not having to walk up a million flights of stairs and having a beautiful fruit garden Grin

@dudsville ... just realised it's Thursday. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

@plantwhisperer

It is, and it is so, so wanted so I really shouldn't fuss. My mum and sister had awful morning sickness so it wasn't a surprise.

Poor you on the UTI. I hate them, a nice bath always helps me (although maybe not with stinky dog!!)

onemorecakeplease · 08/08/2019 19:25

Ooh I feel your pain. Drink plenty and have a bath and pee in there!

We went to the beach also, then to a castle and gardens. Was lovely

Ds is out with a friend so it was just dd. Despite just shouting at her for whining we have had a lovely day.

Bunnylady53 · 08/08/2019 19:29

Good thread OP. I am on the last day of a 2 week “ staycation” which has been mostly lovely, although I had a horrid bug for part of the first week 😥. Planned to do allsorts today but weather rubbish so we have pottered & DD has watched a shocking amount of tv. Hey ho! We did manage to tidy a bit of her room which is without question the messiest in the entire universe! She wants her bestie to come for a sleepover so that’s a good incentive! Also popped to the library

troppibambini · 08/08/2019 19:41

Lovely threadSmile
I'm sorry you have a uti they are really horrible I have them a lot.

I'm good but I do feel a bit mithered today. I've taken my four dc to a very busy farm today and they have bickered a lot!

I need to just not talk to anyone for a bit!
But they keep following meGrin

They are going to my mums for a sleepover tomorrow night and I'm going out for dinner and drinks I can't wait!!!

Bluetrews25 · 08/08/2019 20:14

Hope all of you with physical niggles will soon be niggled no longer.
Lovely positivity, considering we are a load of vipers!
Peace and love to all.
And Chocolate if you want it. It's calorie, fat, sugar and dairy free, obviously.

plantwhisperer · 08/08/2019 20:32

@Croquembou Don't feel bad for fussing, it must be awful feeling nauseas all the time- it's only been 2 days for me with the antibiotics and I can't stand it so I can't imagine it 24/7 with pregnancy! Thanks

OP posts:
plantwhisperer · 08/08/2019 20:33

@Bunnylady53 Sorry to hear you were ill! Hope you're feeling better nowThanks Sometimes time at home is exactly what you need!

OP posts:
plantwhisperer · 08/08/2019 20:37

@onemorecakeplease Not sure I'm comfortable peeing in the bath, but thanks for the suggestionGrin

A castle and gardens sounds amazing! Perfect summery day.

@troppibambini Enjoy tomorrow night! Sounds like a much deserved night off, I'm going out with my friends for dinner & drinks on Saturday!Smile

OP posts:
plantwhisperer · 08/08/2019 20:38

@Bluetrews25 I've eaten far too much today already, even if the snacks are calorie freeGrin Thank you!

I'm feeling sad and I haven't really got anyone to tell. I split with exh at Easter and we have the kids 50/50. I got them back this morning after 6 days apart and although I was really glad to see them, for some reason I feel really sad now. I think it's because when I'm alone I can forget that I don't see them half the time.

MrsJonesAndMe · 08/08/2019 20:41

Hi, I'm OK thanks for asking. Hope the UTI is better soon and the meds settle down.

Was working, but relatively easy day. Looking forward to tomorrow. Taking DS to a trampoline place with a friend from school (a girl) He's quite shy, so lovely that he seems quite well liked. He's asked if he can have a shower in the morning and I'm guessing the lynx will make an appearance Hmm Grin

I'm on a diet, so you guys tuck in, I'm now fasting till as close to noon as I can!

itsabootyhole · 08/08/2019 20:44

I've had a good day thanks for asking Smile
Took dd's 5 and 2 on a walk to find painted rocks, we didn't find any so a trip to the park and had a subway for lunch instead. Watched Barbie dream house for the 20th time this week and got a takeaway for dinner. It's far to hot and muggy here to even bother cooking. Almost 9:45 here and it's still 24c 🥵
