McDonnell says that if Bojo loses a no confidence vote and refuses to resign, JC will take a taxi to see the Queen and tell her he is taking over!

Wtf?
How would that work?
What happens if the queen isn't in? She might be out, doing her shopping...

Taxi? Capitalist pig.

Why doesn't he ride his bike there.

If there is a vote of No Vonfidence passed, it is entirely normal practice for the monarch to ask the Leader if the Opposition if they can form a government. Only when that has been answered (invariably ‘no’) can a general election be called.

So Labour is saying they will follow normal practices but might be the first ever to say ‘yes’.

Though I really don’t see how they can command a majority on the House as currently constituted, so either governing will stall (as it will never be sued if getting measured through and sons/all will fail) or a further No Confidence vote will mean a General Election, just a few weeks further on.

Do although it’s a bit of a non-announcement to anyone with the slightest understanding of his governments are formed, it is interesting because it suggests that Corbyn’s Labour want to both prolong a period of ineffective government and delay a general election. Why would they want those things?
