What is your favourite (non-animated) family movie?

I need some inspiration for films that are suitable for DS13 and DD8. DS has mostly grown out of animated films and likes Star Wars, Avengers etc but DD is a bit young / isn't interested in those.

Films they both like are Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Night at the Museum, Jumanji, Jurassic Park. I'm going to try The Goonies but what else would you recommend. (For my sanity, no Macaulay Culkin or Jim Carey!)

Not Mrs Doubtfire - we tried to watch that recently and had to give up as it was so hideous! Woman tries to divorce crap husband who then moves into her house by deception and tries to gaslight her.... awful!

GeriAtric · 07/08/2019 21:25

Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black is good.

GeriAtric · 07/08/2019 21:27

Totally agree re Mrs Doubtfire QuantamBaby! And he still ends up the hero 🤨
