2nd interview

I have a second interview next week for a role I could do standing on my head and that i’d enjoy.

I usually secure a job after 1 interview so second ones are unusual to me. It’s a very small company. To prepare i’m going to take the job spec and specifically put in where I have the experience for each part, the good feedback when I did well in them, my awards etc. What else can I do to prepare?

Look up the company using Company Check, make notes on the last financial statements etc?

Consider the impact of Brexit on the industry type

Look up the people interviewing you on Facebook and LinkedIn

Think of questions to put to them at the end - I sometimes use "have I done enough to convince you that I can do this job?"

if it's a small company they are probably trying to identify your fit into the team as much as how closely you reach the job spec. Can you put some thought into that?

What about times when you haven't been faultless? Can you demonstrate insight, learning and humility?

If it's a small place doing second interviews then it will probably involve the people who would be working with you assessing whether they think they could work with you.

So probably don't use the openers to use your post here as an ice breaker.

Thank you I have experience on the job doe. In abundance, I think basically they are describing my day to day tasks lol. It’s very small and I would love to be the person who shines.
