I suffer badly with health anxiety and this morning I woke up to find 3 small bloodstains on my pillow.

I have no blood on my face, mouth, nose, ear or anywhere else I can see and I'm now freaking out I have some horrible disease.

Morning.

Sorry you feel this way. There is o serious condition that I can think of that would cause this - I am positive tou are absolutely fine.

First off are you absolutely sure its blood?

Could have come from your teeth/gums. When did you last have a check with dentist?

GriphookTheGoblin · 07/08/2019 07:52

Only had a check up last week and my teeth and gums are fine.

It's definitely blood, I can't think what else it would be and it wasn't there when I went to bed.

Have you scratched a spot?
Or your head perhaps?

You need to get help for you anxiety, , not diagnoses off the Internet - which just feeds your anxiety.

GriphookTheGoblin · 07/08/2019 07:56

I've had help. Years of therapy. Years of cbt. Years of medication. Running. Yoga. Mindfulness. Nothing has ever worked.

Ok, but asking what it could possibly be, isn’t going to make you feel any better?

I have low level anxiety and the worse thing for me is dr google. I’ve convinced myself that an ingrown hair was skin cancer for example.

I’ve found actually I feel better the less time I spend on the Internet!

PixieLumos · 07/08/2019 08:03

I would find that odd too - but as long as you’re feeling alright this morning (apart from your anxiety obviously) and not obviously bleeding from anywhere I wouldn’t worry too much. Don’t google anything! Go about your day - you may have just scratched something in your sleep.

GriphookTheGoblin · 07/08/2019 09:28

I feel fine.

it was probably just a small nose bleed. I get them all the time. nothing wrong just bad sinuses.

yesteaandawineplease · 07/08/2019 09:47

sorry about your anxiety. what do you do that helps the most to calm yourself down?

GriphookTheGoblin · 07/08/2019 09:54

I do have a bit of a cold at the moment so a nosebleed is the most likely thing I imagine.

Calming down - honestly not much helps. Sometimes watching something funny and mindless like Friends helps.

can you go watch some friends? I love watching it. i find it very comforting.
