Winter sun

Hello can anyone suggest the best place for some winter sun for over new year! Primary school age children so think 5 hours flight time is probably limit- many thanks.

What's your budget?
Canary Isles are good for winter sun.
Then there's Egypt, Morocco, or Tunisia. Also Cape Verde.

It's fine to go to the big AI hotels in Hurgarda in Egypt. There or Cape Verde is probably your best bet for hot sunny weather but we've been to the Canaries in mid December and the first week in January and had beach weather apart from the odd day both times.

We go to the canaries for three weeks in October, two in December and three in March.
