Christening present for nephew

The christening of my nephew is at the end of August and I'm at complete loss what to get as a gift. He's 6 months soon and my partner and I are not religious, the christening is in Sweden in a church.

An outfit, a toy , a savings bond. Doesn't have to be religious

Thank you, I was also thinking of getting something typically British, as I'm also Swedish.

Out DD was baptised not that long ago and our favourite presents for her were:

Savings contributions
A children's bible
A silver charm bracelet with the first letter of her name on it (for when she's an adult)
A rosary

I will mention that the last three were appreciated because we didn't get duplicates! Don't need more than one of any of them Wink

We've got nice books for gifts. Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter etc.

Dora, thank you for your suggestions, I was thinking about something in silver and personalised

My dh is Danish.. They are really big at putting out their flag for celebrations and mini flags on tables for birthdays etc.
We got a Danish table flag but the silver base plate is personalised so it has an engraved picture of ds, his birth weight, length, date of birth and christening date.. It's lovely and something different.
Other than that we got lots of books, toys and clothes, photo album and winnie the pooh book ends which I love

Preschool, English books might be a good idea, and good to start learning early

Personally I like traditional things such as -
Cuff links
Port / case of wine from from Berry Brothers
Wine or champagne coaster
Silver hip flask etc

Smurf, I like the idea of personalised, but the flag probably won't work in Sweden, not sure though as I haven't lived there for so long!

My DD got a few lovely silver personalised gifts, a money box with a carousel on top, a little trinket box a small music box with photos going round!

For my grandchildren I got hand carved little wooden stools with their names and christening dates on. A company in Scotland I think.
They like using them to stand on now so they can help with baking or perhaps reach things they shouldn't have!
