I have met a guy through a dating site, we met for the first time last Friday. It went really well, and 10 minutes after he texted me saying we should go out again another time. He seemed polite and didn't suggest going back to his or anything.
The only thing is that he is going to travel in Australia in a month's time; he had told me this before we met.
I asked how long he would be going for and he said he could be back in a month or it could be a bit longer, he couldn't say. I don't think it's for a year or anything, though.
I asked him if he was just maybe looking for a short-term thing before he went, and he said he may well be back after a month but could not promise, but was a little gutted as he knew we would get on well.
Some friends think I should go for it and that we could just pick up where we left from when he comes back, another reckons he probably just wants a fling before going and that I won't be hearing from him after.
No idea what to do or how to go about it; don't want to end up getting hurt but don't want to regret missing out on somebody nice.
