I got fired the other day in Debenhams
And bought one bra then n there

Then got home and ordered a load in that size ordered about 7 bras and they are all good
So I don’t know if I should keep them all or if thats a bit excessive
I have about 3 or 4 in the next size wolhixj isn’t too fair off and certainly wearable

So how many bras do you have ?

I have 2 that fit me properly. They're nursing bras and don't really want to buy more when I'll need different sizes when I'm done bf

ExpletiveDelighted · 05/08/2019 22:49

All my proper ones fit me and I can't feel I'm wearing them (underwired tee shirt bras and sports bras). I have a couple of bralets which are awful, no support whatsoever and a danger of everything falling out the top when I bend over, never buying one of them again, they are worse than not wearing one at all.

Jog22 · 06/08/2019 00:02

3 that fit properly (Victorias Secret) about 5 older ones for if no when I lose more weight. Those I'm never going to fit into again I send to here.

Probably 3 cheapy ones that fit comfortably i really need to buy all new bras but holding off till DC1 is here so i know how big they'll be once they finish growing then I'll probably live in maternity bras

FenellaMaxwell · 06/08/2019 03:14
  1. Well, 1 bra in 4 colours. 2 black, 1 nude, 1 fun colour.
Sashkin · 06/08/2019 03:16

Three plus two sports bras. I bin them when they get worn out (once a year or so), so no point buying loads. And my size has gone up and down a bit post-baby/BF - I ended up donating a huge bag full of bras that didn’t fit any more, so I’d like to avoid that in future.

Sarcelle · 06/08/2019 03:38

Zero, none of them fit optimally

StarlightLady · 06/08/2019 03:49

OP, if you can afford it and have a style that works for you, keep them. SIzing is just half the story.

I have recently had a clear out. I have about 10, all bought in sales. I usually get 2 pairs of knix to match (sometimes different styles) but hardly ever full price.

I don’t do white (looks utilitarian/functional) or so called nude (makes my tits look like cardboard), so if I see a fun colour reduced l strike while the iron’s hot.

0 :/

TerrorAustralis · 06/08/2019 04:35

9 normal and 3 sports bras that all fit properly. My boobs are too big to go without bras that fit. Plus, I live in a hot climate, so I wash after every wear.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 06/08/2019 05:07

I have 5 that I'm happy with - 3 of them are M&S "extremely comfortable" bras or a name similar to that. Then I have 2 minimiser bras which are amazing. I don't know how they work but they really do make your boobs look smaller somehow.

I hope people aren't literally binning old bras into landfill? Sad Angry ? There are countless charities that will take them!

Knitclubchatter · 06/08/2019 06:16

two everyday and one sports.
the everyday ones are going out of production and the colour choice is not really to my liking but i just went online and ordered 2 more.
painful price but nothing like a comfy bra.

Fishcakey · 06/08/2019 06:20

One that fits perfectly (well I have two of the same bra) and the rest are too big but comfy. I should get measured really but my weight yo-yos.

StarlightLady · 06/08/2019 07:40

@Nextphonewontbesamsung - all my old bras in good condition go to charity.

Fucksandflowers · 06/08/2019 08:38

I can't wear 'proper' bras at all, I have always had very high set, slightly flared ribs and after having children it's gotten so bad that the bottom of absolutely any bra presses on my rib age causing excruciating pain.

It's not a fit issue, I've wasted so much money on bras with a lovely flat gore, secure non riding back, comfortable shoulder straps etc only to have to rip it off just an hour or two later in pain so I've gone braless for years now and at a G cup I'm not small!
I've always been very self conscious because due to their size they obviously droop a bit.

Figleaves bralettes have been life changing for me!
They don't offer much in the way of support but they do lift a little and are pretty and lacy and make me feel much more put together.

Dollywilde · 06/08/2019 08:41

1 sports bra
2 unsexy m&s minimisers
4 nice day to day
2 ‘sexy’ ie with padding that I really don’t need!

Whoever thinks to put padding in 34E bras is mad...

Dollywilde · 06/08/2019 08:42

Oh and a strapless from wonder bra that is some sort of engineering miracle, so 10 total.

BonAccordSpur · 06/08/2019 08:52

Haha i got fired buyingDD (another)set of bras as its been a 6monthly increase in cuppage since she turned 11..now we're up to34D i can no longer wear her old ones at a push( im a larger back &smaller cup😯)..BUT thought WTF my saggy old baps deserve a new bra&splashed out$36 on a nude/white/black in Kmart here in Oz..all the same but soooo comfy..so i have3nice new ones&a comnunal drawer full of barely worn bras thanks to DDs jugs of doom..not jel at at😂

OddestSock · 06/08/2019 09:05

4, but the wire is poking through one of them, so I need to fix it. i'll probably buy a couple more.

SudowoodoVoodoo · 06/08/2019 10:26

I make do with 32B which is annoying enough to find, but if I can find a 30C or other smaller back, bigger cup, it really makes a difference in lifting them and making them point out more than my 28" waist/ mum tum. #smallboobproblems Grin (but at least I survived having to run an 8+ mile race after forgetting to pack my sports bra)

I can't buy the right size in my city and the choice online is dire.

underneaththeash · 06/08/2019 10:32

I have several that fit really well (7-8) maybe. I’m a 34C so lots of choice too. Although if I get measured they try and put me into something ridiculous like a 30E - then I can’t breathe, even a 32D is way too tight.

StarlightLady · 06/08/2019 12:56

@OddestSock - I have never successfully been able to sew back in an “escaped” underwire and get it to stop put.

sherazade · 06/08/2019 22:08

2 and they're both from monki
