How weird is this

My husband was talking to his mum today and she let slip (Christ knows how or why) that when she goes 2 doors down every night to bath and bed her 1yo grandson. DH sister gets in the bath too. She's 35.

For back story she has PND and finds everything tough hence my MIL going round every night but I just find this SO bazar.

Just needed to tell someone really, obviously I wouldn't share it in real life.

To me it sounds like she is lucky to have a supportive mum who is helping her through her PND. If it works for them then great.

Are you sure she doesn’t get in after her DS gets out while MIL puts him to bed?

Otherwise yes, it is odd.

I suspect she gets him ready for the bath, takes him out, gets him ready for bed,then puts him to bed. Her daughter just gets in to actually bath him and herself.

Nope. Mum and baby are in bath and MIL bathes him. I can't see why she'd make that up.

I guess she then takes the baby out the bath and leaves her daughter to have her bath?
