DS (5 this weekend) is off to Blackpool Zoo tomorrow. About an a hour and half from here. Leaving on the bus at 8.30 and potentially not back until 5.30/6.

They are to take a packed lunch, extra snacks and drinks. Bags will be staying on the coach so the children don't have to carry them around.

So far he has been to OOSC twice this holiday. First time he ate his sandwich and crisps and a few bits were left. He said they didn't have enough time to finish their lunch - a local trip with 2 busses there and back.

Last time he ate his sandwich and chocolate biscuit. They made pizza for afternoon snack.

What kind/quantity of things would you pack?

i would rather pack more than less. probably something along the lines of:

sandwiches, crisps, fruit and small snack for lunch
packed separately i would have snacks, so:
fruit roll ups
veggie sticks
tub of cereal
cheese bites
